I’ve always been creative and intrigued by the world around me. Our world is constantly expanding and we need to think bigger and build better. In high school, I participated in a program called Engineers Without Borders. We learned how simple concepts can be applied to bigger aspects of engineering. That taught me that small things can have a big influence. After high school, I worked in call centers, and data entry jobs that relied on technology to serve people. Recently I’ve wanted to make a change in my life and knew I needed to think bigger. By doing ITWorks, a technology training program, I have realized that I need to sacrifice what doesn’t align with growth. After graduating ITWorks and gaining my certifications, I want to pursue a career in networking or cyber security. The mission of ITWorks is using technology to better serve the world, and I believe I can better serve my community with a career in technology.
