-My work entails partnering with farmers, businesses, government organizations, and other stakeholders to develop training materials and events aimed at helping rural populations access opportunities and face challenges. Much of my work at NCAT focuses on providing farmers with the necessary tools and knowledge to bridge barriers they face in progressing toward sustainable and ecologically conscious farming practices. -I am also responsible for the organization of the Latino Farmer Conference, writing technical publications and bilingual newsletters that reach farmers across the United States.

- Facilitated project development through collaboration with regional farmers and local government to bolster sustainable farming practices for food security and conservation as well as help organize the most successful and longest running farmer cooperative in the area. - Employed a variety of needs assessments to identify a primary project and its goals. With careful monitoring and evaluation, as well as a flexible project/business plan, the sustainability of our project has been a success.-Organized and led training and follow-up to prepare stakeholders for the rigors of running a cooperative and large reforestation project.

Assisted in a study that examined the effects of climate change on seed set in pistachio and walnut orchards. I was responsible for field sampling, data collection, photography, field sampling, and data analysis.

Participated in a research project that examined the effects of nitrogen deposition on native grassland plant species during which I took soil samples, identified present plant species, prepared field experiments in the laboratory and carried out those experiments in the field.
