Summary & Expectations: A Program Manager is responsible for overseeing projects (jobs) from inception through to completion. Duties & Responsibilities:-Successfully manage projects from proposal to completion-Ensure the scope of work is within ITM de Mexico’s capacity-Quote EC’s/Repairs – Plant Manager must sign off prior to sending to customer -Clearly define the project goals and objectives and communicate information back to machining/tooling leads and management. -Request job number from Accounting with the following information: -Quote if applicable-Specify whether engineering will be required-Organize shipping-Monitor job costs to ensure projects stay within budget and projected profits are obtained-Monitor job progress on the shop floor, ensure job meets customers quality standards prior to shipping-Identify and document all project related changes and communicate information back to project team-Schedule periodic design reviews with Engineering and Customer when applicable: document all conversations with the customer via meeting minutes and project log-Obtain purchase orders in a timely manner and provide to accounting for invoicing. -Provide guidance, direction, assistance, and support to all employees-Be accountable for all jobs requiring warranty work as well as all jobs that are in a loss position: maintain daily communication with shop leaders and compare quoted hours to actual hours-Willingness to travel to various customers, within and outside of Mexico-Attend customer Try-Outs-All other duties/tasks as prescribed by managementSkills & Abilities:-The ability to effectively manage, prioritize and execute task for multiple programs in a high-pressure environment-Excellent Communication (Written and Verbal) and Organizational skills-Interpersonal and team work skills-Attention to detail (precise and meticulous)-Ability to follow direction with minimal clarification or supervision-Act with a strong sense of urgency on all matters
