Omar Shafik is an experienced consultant in digitalization and transformational processes for companies and governmental bodies. He holds more than 25 years of experience in managing and leading different companies. He started his career with practical experience in software development and from 2005, he went through multiple experiences where he established multiple companies: Egyptian companies, foreign companies in Egypt, and a company in Denmark and a company in Switzerland. He is currently managing director at SevenSprings Technology AG in Zurich, Partner in Orchtech software development company in Egypt. He is a co-founder of Purple Digital Marketing and runs his family agriculture business "Shafik Farms". Shafik is listed as a consultant for the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the USAID in Egypt and for multiple companies in the EU for the GDPR. He contributed with three rich publications one in e-Learning, one in finance and one in e-tourism. He worked as a professor in the French Section of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport - (AAST University) and was a local lecturer for the MBA, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris-Dauphine. He is a Board member in the Swiss Club in Cairo and a member of the SwissCham community.In his managerial and leadership role, he worked with multinational and local companies, governmental bodies and ministries in implementation of successful projects of mobile application developments and web application in different industries. Sample of his clientele include the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW), the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MPED), the Ministry of International Cooperation (MoIC) for ClimaTech run competition platform project at the UN-COP27 event in 2022 at Sharm El-Sheikh. He has extensive experience in working with clients in Egypt, Middle East and Europe where he held different managerial positions. He earned his Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from the International Business Academy of Switzerland (IBAS) in Zurich. Shafik won the “Best Thesis” award among the graduates of the Sorbonne when he was completing his degree in Master of Business Administration from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris-Dauphine. He graduated from the American University in Cairo majoring in Computer Science and minor in Economics.
