Omar Sidikou holds a Master Degree in Business Intelligence from Paris Dauphine University and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA “Leading innovation in a Digital World” at Institut Mines Telecom. He holds the position of IT Project Leader at BNP Paribas Securities Services with previous experience at Accenture. He is fluent in French and English. Omar chose this EMBA program to further his aim to decode changes in the digital economy and, in particular, how this applies to the challenges faced in West Africa. His ambition is to take advantage of new tools such as MOOCs (Massive Online Open Course) and Asterisk (Open source framework for building communications platform) to pursue innovation comprehensively and methodically to ultimately ensure value. At his current role at BNP Paribas, Omar is in charge of the configuration management and the support for all applications related to production reports for asset and fund services. He manages a team of four based in Paris and five in Chennai, India. Previous to this position, Omar was the Technical Leader of a cost accounting application.During his tenure with Accenture, Omar worked in different sectors such as the tire industry (Michelin), employment area (Pôle emploi) and the Telecoms area (SFR, Free). He has eight years experience in Business Intelligence and has coordinated teams in France and India on several offshore BI projects. At Accenture, Omar developed technical skills and often proved his professionalism, commitment and customer service. He embodies a high degree of customer service and team spirit, which for him are key for success.In his personal life, Omar is an avid practitioner of Taekwondo. Having practiced for several years the self-control it brings explains in part why Omar is such a still and self-confident person.
