With over seven years of experience in the labor movement, I am passionate about organizing workers for justice and power. I have strong skills in content creation, building coalitions, community organizing, and contract negotiations. In total, I have spent over fourteen years as a community and union organizer. I currently work as an internal worksite organizer at SEIU Local 521, where I help identify, recruit, train, and develop stewards, officers, and leaders in various worksites. In my current role, I lead and assist in developing plans for worksite campaigns for specific issues, such as public budget, safety, and contract negotiations. I also create and edit communication materials, such as leaflets, proposals, and newsletters, to inform and mobilize members. Additionally, I negotiate or assist in contract negotiations, monitor and follow through on grievances and disciplinary appeals, and encourage participation in political and lobbying activities. I enjoy working with a diverse and dedicated team of organizers, members, and allies, and I am always eager to learn new strategies and tactics to advance the interests of workers.
