For over 13 years Omar Abou-Zeid has used hard work, ambition and initiative to make a name for himself in Egyptian film and television. His dynamic career is based on a strong personal belief that patience and perseverance are the foundation for success. As a Line Producer and Assistant Director, Omar has worked with many foreign and Egyptian directors on television commercial campaigns. He was a Line Producer / Executive Director for global brand campaigns for, Cadbury. UnionAir Group and Chipsy, a division of PepsiCo. He has also been Executive Producer for campaigns for Coca Cola, Hyundai Vodafone and the Egyptian Ministry of Finance, Egyptian Ministry of Information and many more.In the entertainment realm, Omar was the Project Manager for Asala Fy Wust El Balad concert event featuring a fusion of two of the top musicians in the region. He served as Executive Producer on singer Asala Nasri’s television show “Soula” for two seasons. He also produced and a number of music videos for top bands and Singers in the region. Omar’s work in motion picture goes beyond set and stage production. He established and managed RAW Rentals Company, a division of RAW Entertainment. Under his leadership, RAW was the first rental company in MENA to provide Arri D21 Cameras, Weisscam HS-2 MK2 and Mini Milo Motion Control equipment to local filmmakers. He also established RAW Post House – one of the leading post-production digital workflow houses in Egypt. The company went on to merge with Mercury Visual Solutions in 2013 and Omar began producing under his own company, OZ Productions.During his work with local and foreign filmmakers Omar realized there’s a serious need for quality stock imagery from MENA. With this in mind he launched Meashots, the first stock imagery company in the world to provide high-quality imagery exclusively from the MENA region through its website meashots.com
