⦿ Developed a model prototype for lead conversion probability prediction by performing a case study on provided datasets - under the supervision of both the head of analytics and the data science lead within MAF’s Advanced Analytics unit - involving a process of Exploratory Data Analysis and ML training.More details:As per MAF's vision of data transformation and increased utilization of big data, the main objective of this experience was to perform a use-case study on provided datasets, involving a process of Exploratory Data Analysis, and to develop a model prototype that aims to further optimize managerial decisions related to the use-case at hand. Prominently, this internship opportunity at MAF enabled me to gain my first hands-on experience in the industry as an AUS CSE Alumnus-to-be. Through this first experience in data science and analytics, I was familiarized with a sample of the professional working culture in-practice of large regonal corporations, such as MAF, within the Emirati industry and to better understand the means by which they operate on a day-to-day basis, introduce and execute innovative projects, as well as plan future works for the medium-to-long term. At a technical level, this project allowed me to explore new functions and modules within the pandas and scikit-learn Python libraries – expanding my skillset with new operations on data which will come in handy in future experiences, kick-starting my career in data.
