A SHORT STORY OF INTOUCH, PANAFRICAN FINTECH SPECIALIZED IN PAYMENT SOLUTIONSAfter my journey with 2SI, the CTIC & Teranga, I wanted to go back to my core competences & explore new possibilities in Tech, while leveraging on my entrepreneurial expertise.As we were launching a franchise for digital services distribution points in the Parcelles Assainies – called “TouchPoints” - we were approached by Total to manage their digital transactions & loyalty program. Their objective was to get a deeper knowledge of their clients & better serve them by providing all digital services they might need right in the fuel stations, in a secure manner.After a successful pilot, the model designed was deployed in Dakar city, then in the whole country.Next, the solution was extended to other countries after its technical audit conducted by Worldline, a global leader in payments.Total & Worldline participated in financing our geographic expansion for € 15m over 2017 - 2019, subject to the achievement of defined KPIs. This was the first fund raising of InTouch, & the 1st of the kind in the FR West-African ecosystem.• In 2017, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea & CIV were launched, as well as Kenya & Cameroon.• In 2019, we reinforced our presence in East Africa with Tanzania, Uganda, & started operations in South Africa & Egypt also.In 2021, CFAO expressed interest in entering InTouch capital. This led to our 3rd fund raising for € 9m, including Total, WorldLine, CFAO & myself, to support our operations expansion in Benin, Togo, Niger & Gabon.Today, our tailor-made payment solution called “Le Guichet Unique” has a tremendous impact on the daily lives of our users.As at YE'23, we recorded 186m transactions, 350+ VA services, FCFA 1 771bn of transactions, 60 000 TouchPoint, 3000+ Corporate clients, & we cover 23 countries with 400+ employees.Our goal is to be the trusted partner of all digital transactions in Africa, & we are definitely heading toward that direction.
