I started working in software development, sometime around 2002, as a freelance web designer as a way to get to know the business. A year after that I got an opportunity, in the form of an entry-level position, as a programmer at the telephone company in Mexico (Telnor). There I learned how to create working software, package it and deploy it. Also, one of my favorite parts, learn how to get requirements and really understand a client’s needs and problems. After 4 years of this incredibly great learning experience, I moved on to another company (TRESS) where I continued my professional growth, this time by learning how to handle legacy code (the importance of SCM and a proper QA process), reinforcing my analysis and requirement definition skills. After a great run at that company (5 years) I got the opportunity to be part of ArkusNexus where I was able to manage teams, promote SCRUM (training courses and auditor), motivate and guide developers as well as to help create new leaders with the support and backing of the company for (almost) 4 years. With Thermo Fisher Scientific, I started with the unique challenge of ensuring the operational excellence of 90+ Scrum Teams distributed in three different countries (India, U.S. and México) working with science-related software that will directly support our company's vision. Since then, I've also taken on the Tijuana Site leadership, working in collaboration with the many support areas in order to provide the best software engineering experience for our employees.
