Owner of all activities related to the planning, procurement, budgeting & monitoring of raw materials that are consumed by the three FMCG manufacturing operations in the plant: Can Lines, End Line and Food Line.Responsibilities: Ensure cost based approach to procurement of all raw materials, and assure the optimization of the working capital at all times with responsibility for spend of $70M for raw materials. Responsible for secondary packaging material sourcing negotiations and tenders by liaising with the ME Sourcing Manager. Manage and prepare the raw materials budget and rolling forecasts in conjunction with Finance team to minimize working capital at all times. Ensure demurrages and detention charges are maintained at near-zero levels at all times, for incoming shipments of raw materials & packaging. Manage the monthly Production Usage Operating Plan in conjunction with the commercial & operation department for the upcoming period. Manage and plan qualification trials of new materials/suppliers in coordination with QA & Production.Achievements: $80K savings year on year on secondary packaging. Restructuring the budget system to include all variables for all supplies including payment terms, working capital and Aluminum hedges for LME & Premium. Restructuring of supply planning system to consider the working capital & calculating future orders. Led a project to increase the utilization of returnable layer pads by 13%. Adding an additional control for improvement of returnable packaging count accuracy.
