At this academic Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and policy think tank, Omar assisted in research through the developing of reports on research materials and the editing of academic publications. Other tasks included attending and writing reports for various European Union and NATO related conferences, assisting in the writing of a European foreign policy article, and contributing to the organization of the institute's “The Wales Summit and the Future of NATO” conference for various NATO and European Union ambassadors and representatives.
