Associate Director
Current• Direct the activities of and mentor molecular laboratory team members to ensure day-to-dayoperations meet delivery metrics, comply with internal policies, procedures, and CLIA/CAP/FDAregulatory standards.• Collaborate cross-site and cross-functionally on initiatives to develop and maintain policies andprocedures guiding molecular testing processes and supporting continuous improvements and operational excellence.• Ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators and generate dashboards/reports summarizingproductivity and process performance for presentation to senior management.• Deploy problem-solving skills to assess and identify areas for process improvement and to solve forcomplex business challenges, including with the review and sign out of clinical test reports.• Exercise judgment and decision making authority in determining methods, techniques, andevaluation criteria for obtaining business-critical results.• Participate in internal and external collaborative partnerships and lead equipment and assayqualification and validation efforts for the introduction of new and updated products and workflowsin the molecular laboratory.• Author, contribute to, and review standard operating procedures (SOPs), tracking forms, traininglogs, change controls, non-conformance reports and investigations, and deviations or CAPA reports,as needed to support operational excellence.• Maintain knowledge base of relevant fields and techniques and educate laboratory operations teammembers on the same.• Represent FMI to commercial and academic partners through lab tours, talks, and tutorials.
