Vice President in the Alternative Asset Advisory segment within Duff & Phelps. Providing advisory services to private equity firms, hedge funds, BDCs, and fund of funds. Typically engaged to assist in the determination of ‘value’ of businesses in the context of a sale of equity interests, addition of new partners, unitizations for IPOs, issuance of options, estate planning, 83(b) filings, and/or disputes, etc.Also involved with assisting major alternative asset managers with quarterly valuations of Level III illiquid securities including; secured/unsecured loans, mezzanine, convertible debt, preferred securities, LP interests, illiquid common equity, options and warrants. The assessments of value are used for financial reporting purposes, disposition of assets and/or in support of new fund raising efforts.
