Omar Nissar Paul, is an Indian film & commercial director & producer based in Mumbai. He attended R.D National college in Mumbai studying advertising.Omar has directed advertisements & TV Promos for brands like TATA DOCOMO, JIM BEAM, BBlUNT, SONY NETWORK, COLORS TV, etc. He has directed several brand videos for Viacom18 on properties like Vh1 Supersonic, across 3 seasons. He has also conceptualised & directed several music videos for singers such as Parthiv Gohil, Bhrigu Sahni. Besides having worked on ad campaigns for eBay, JBL, Axis Bank, Canapure Oil, Big Boss among others.Omar served Facebook India as a director & producer of web - content for its various brands & content creators. He achieved the coveted feat of being the producer & technical director of India’s 1st ever 24 Hr Facebook Live for Future Group around the “Big Bazaar Sale”. The show was a live comedy & music relay of comedians, film stars and musicians performing uninterrupted for 24 Hours on Facebook.He has also co-produced a National Award Winning Kashmiri short film ‘Tamaash’ that has travelled the world and garnered critical approval at prestigious film festivals like Seattle South Asian Film festival, Heartland Film Festival Indianapolis, River to River at Florence and International Children’s film festival of India; Hyderabad. Omar has served as creative director for production houses like 1314 Films , Gabbeh Films amongst others.Omar has been a producer and creative director for a 26 episode TV series for prasar bharti, to be released on new and upcoming channel and National TV by prasar bharti.He is also associated with directing documentaries for NGOs, such as Share and Care Foundation, PATH etc.He is a mentee of acclaimed film directors like Amit Masurkar, Aditya Bhattacharya, Kumar Devanshu & Satyanshu Singh.
