About Omar Piñango

I am a lawyer graduated from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, with experience in the area of research, project coordination and more recently as a freelancer I have developed in account management and video editing for social networks.In 2023, I became an Alumni of the Shelter City Program (2023) for human rights defenders at risk, where I was chosen to work as a visiting researcher at the T.M.C. Asser Institute located in The Hague, The Netherlands. For 2024, I participated in the exchange program on Latin American Economics, Theory, and Policy Development sponsored by The Fund for American Studies in collaboration with the Universidad de los Andes in Santiago, Chile. More recently, I was awarded a scholarship for the Young Leaders of the Americas (YLAI 2024) program, which is run by the U.S. Department for Young Entrepreneurs, where I was chosen to work in the Legal Innovation and Technology Lab at Suffolk University located in Boston, Massachusetts.
