VIVA Kuwait, a Subsidiary of Saudi Telecom Company, was launched in Dec 2008 and I was hired to build the Network Performance Department from scratch. The primary sphere of function of my department is to manage, maintain and continuously improve all aspects of Network Performance and its impact on customer experience. In this role, as Head of Performance reporting directly to the CTO, I have following broad functional responsibilities: Monitoring End to End Network Performance for 2G as well as 3G Access and Core networks. Benchmarking of VIVA 2G and 3G Access Networks with the competitors. Identification, follow up and resolution of degradation/Points of failure which may impede Service Quality. Ownership, processing and resolutions of all customer complaints relating to service offered to subscribers. Evaluating the performance of the technical departments (Optimization, Planning, Operations and Implementation) and managing the interworking between the departments. Reporting of Key Performance Indicators for Access and Core to Board of Directors. Responsible for preparing all the Technical Presentations for the CTO. Developing the SLA and processes for the Network Department. Launch of 21.6Mbps, 42Mbps and all the future technologies. Developing the bandwidth management policies which ehances the customer experience and manages the network resources in an efficient way through SCG. RNC planning and dimensioning. Development of CEM strategy and implementing it to attain the Customer Experience Center (CEC)
