Hi! My name is Omar Young. I am Peruvian documentary filmmaker based out of Orlando, FL passionate about real untold stories from diverse voices. For my reel please visit: www.creativefilmvision.comAs a director and producer my work focuses on the humanity and cultural significance behind cooking and farming around the world. My latest independent short film "Takes Four Years to Grow Coffee" (takesfouryears.com) featured a small community of coffee farmers in Maricao, Puerto Rico and their struggle to pass on their family traditions in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. This short film was featured at the 30th Florida Film Festival and the 30th Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival.As an editor and story producer I have worked on Netflix original documentary series "Street Food: USA" and Disney+ "Rennervations". Commercially my latest branded short documentary has won a Gold Telly Award and I constantly collaborate with companies like Microsoft to help them highlight the social impact of their technology on a global scale.
