Mubarak Olasunkanmi is an ambitious Petroleum Engineering student with a passion for applying data science and machine learning to solve complex energy challenges. Currently in my 400-level at the University of Ibadan, I have a deep interest in optimizing energy systems, sustainable practices, and enhancing efficiencies in the oil and gas industry.Throughout my academic journey, I have been fortunate to earn multiple accolades, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers Nigeria Council (SPENC) PetroQuiz XXII African Champion, the Exploration & Production and SPE Lagos Undergraduate Scholarship, and the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited Merit Scholarship, among others. My hands-on experience spans internships at the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, where I engaged in groundwater exploration and map creation using Surfer software, and my project work, which involved using machine learning to predict lithology formations in drilling operations.Currently, I serve as the Head of Competitions at the Energy Club, UI, where I organize events promoting energy efficiency, and the school coordinator for Eco Vanguard, leading environmental initiatives to foster sustainability.My goal is to leverage my skills in data science, leadership, and engineering to contribute to the development of innovative energy solutions that drive sustainability and efficiency.
