The Foundation was formed on August 8, 1942 as the Cleveland Foundation, Inc, a fully non-profit and tax-exempt entity. The objectives of the Foundation were to provide financial support to any institution devoted to charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes. The two primary institutions that have benefited from the financial support of the Foundation are Gardner-Webb University and the Consolidated University of North Carolina System. Governor Gardner had pushed through the legislation during the Great Depression that created the Consolidated University System and due to the personal financial efforts of the Governor and his wife Boiling Springs Junior College was saved from a financial death and later renamed to honor the Gardner and the Webb families for such efforts.

The Foundation promotes the political career and achievements of Governor O. Max Gardner, Sr., and supports prgorams to enage young people in politices.

We train hundreds of consumer lawyers each year in advanced litigation skills in consumer bankrutpcy cases and spend special training time on the securitization of mortgage notes and default mortgage servicing.

I have been a speaker at many NACBA seminars but have never been an officer or member of the board.

I used this publication as a teaching tool at my Bankruptcy Boot Camp Seminars.

I have served as the primary program planner and the lead speaker at all of the Boot Camp seminars.

I attend and speak at seminars and am a member of at least 4 national listservs operated by NACA for members only. Each listserv deals with a specifica area of consumer law.

I was responsible for dealing with all legal issues that impacted the NC Democratic Party during my term as General Counsel. The majority of my work related to right to vote issues, problems arising during elections, and issues related to contributions.
