After graduating from Advertising and Public Relations from Anatolian University, while I was in graduate school at the same place, I've involved in various jobs including playing guitar and piano in a local band, making mosaic from marble, selling self-designed clothing, designing simple websites and translating various theses from English to Turkish... After that I moved to Istanbul, the economic center of Turkey and was assistant for an outdoor media planning team about a year. And after that, I decided to move on to my real passion: Gaming.The team that founded Oyungezer magazine in 2007 were my heroes in a way and I felt honored to be in the team in 2012. First a freelance writer, then an in-house editor and then managing editor... Aside being the managing editor and an active writer for the magazine, I also created a lot of content for Oyungezer's web portal and Youtube channel. And I've been doing this job for years with pleasure and I've gained many skills along the way thanks to the beloved team.Playstore is the most popular digital game store of Turkey, which operates under the umbrella of Turk Telekom, which is one of the biggest communication service providers of the country. While I was working at Oyungezer, Playstore was one of the partner companies of ours and I was the content manager of Playstore. I was involved with translating the descriptions of the games, managing the promotions and sales, curating the visuals etc. Playstore too was an important experience for me.And at 2020 I've got involved with a highly experienced and talented team, and we founded the localization agency called Loc 'N Roll. As a gaming enthusiast it's a great joy to be involved in the production process of games that I hold precious and I'm able to use all my skills that I developed over the years for that:- Loving games (I suspect I love them a bit too much time to time).- Being obsessed with the correct usage of Turkish language.- Being able to manage free-spirited teams (gamers tend to be like that you know).- Understanding gamers' language. Understanding both Turkish and English is not enough for my profession, you got to understand the language and read between the lines that only a gamer understands. As a gamer myself, I've got this.- Being able to set the balance between professional work and amateur-spirited work.
