Planning, research and development of an IoT mesh network solution from scratch to deployment - with the goal of providing areas affected by natural disasters with a quick alternative offline communication system. Our solution included deploying 65 IoT devices across five regions in Puerto Rico, offered as a solution for communities recovering from Hurricane Maria.The project took place as part of IBM’s Volunteering program - I had a great honor to be selected to participate in this prestigious program out of thousands of applicants.Technologies: IoT, LoRa, BT, Edge, Mesh networking, MQTT.

Making hazardous workplaces safer by using wearable devices, advanced analytics, and Internet of Things technologies. My role was to lead the development and deployment together with clients based in remote hazardous areas.IBM Maximo Worker Insights puts compliance at the center of safety, making it easier to identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace. It combines IoT data from wearables, environmental sensors and other data, with advanced analytics that provide predictive information.The solution we developed had to work in extreme conditions (for example: temperature range from -40C to +40C), therefore we had to build everything from scratch - including: firmware, software, communication protocols and analytics - all offline and online.Technologies: ML, IoT, Wearable Devices, Edge, Mobile applications, Mesh Networking.
