Omer founded M&Z, a corporate law / advisory firm. Omer has advised on projects, venture capital, starting, funding, and selling companies, cross-border deals, and regularly provided strategic counsel to local and foreign corporations and high-net-worth individuals in the full spectrum of industries from FMCG to real estate to fintech, among others.

Head of Legal for Pakistan & Afghanistan business unit. The role involved managing complex litigation and advising the business on franchise business, manufacturing business, marketing and advertising, competition laws, ethics and compliance, general corporate advisory. Structured and drafted documentation required for the growth of business. As member of leadership team, advised senior management on issues relating to strategy and future direction of the business. Managing legal affairs including transactions, litigation and advisory for all lines of business of Shell in Pakistan. Also advised Shell Gas LPG for Pakistan operations.

Extensively worked on power projects (IPPs) and other project fianance transactions. Also advised clients in telecom and electricity sector. Part of the team that spearheaded work on coal fired power projects. Also worked on mergers and acquisitions in dairy and power sector.

Botique law practice specializing in banking, tax and corporate advisory.

Part of project launch team. Drafted all contracts for pre-launch and post launch business including supply and service agreements for the network, interconnection agreements, call termination agreements, marketing agreements, supply and service agreements for equipment, LDI network agreements etc.

Gained extensive experience in banking and corporate law practice including advisory, structuring of transactions, financing, privatization, JVs, real estate advisory.

Devised structure of two hedge funds connected through a master feeder structure for US based and international investors. Drafted limited partnership documents, offering documents, and incorporation documents under supervision of General Counsel.

Gained valuable experience in this Wall Street Hi-Tech firm. Advised on the USD 5 Million financing through private placement. Drafted offering documents, shareholders agreement, subscription agreement and private placement memorandum and ensured compliance with blue sky laws in conjunction with the General Counsel. Also drafted contracts for supply of telecom and internet services.
