I have collaborated with local entrepreneurs and research centres to help them refine and implement their projects’ brands, specializing in graphic design and motion graphics.

Towards the end of my programme I became increasingly interested in the topic of Embodied Interaction and its practical implications for designing for different user groups. For that reason, in my master thesis I collaborated with the Design Your Life project, aimed at developing a co-design methodology that enables autistic young adults to design a supportive environment that contributes to independent living.To this end, for my research I developed a theoretical framework which combined literature on autism, models of design for reflection and embodied cognition theory. This inspired the development of various design tools that were integrated into a toolkit for the autistic adult. They relied on three main mechanisms to evoke and support reflection on context and activity, while also bringing it closer to an embodied practice: experience (physical actions), transform (environment alteration) and reflect (introspective thought). This approach allowed me to analyse how the different tools in the methodology were actually appropriated in practice by a user through their specific set of embodied skills.

I collaborated within a multidisciplinary team in a technological innovation setting to deliver concepts, product visualisations and prototype solutions for clients in different industrial fields. My work was based on user research, market analysis and strategic business goals to consolidate human needs and technical requirements into viable solutions.• Development of design concept for a portable and affordable alternative to holographic displays for introduction to the Mexican market.• Design and prototyping of casings for various technological projects.• Organisation and management of the company’s visual identity across different media.

After obtaining my Bachelor’s degree, I co founded a social innovation project aimed at raising awareness on local social challenges, involving different stakeholders to address them and developing solutions through a design approach.• Ignorados: Workshop with students and professors at ITESM to raise awareness about migration issues through open dialogue and brainstorming with members of a local migrant shelter.• Ethnographic research and design concept for a stimulation strategy for elderly people residing in retirement homes, aimed at decelerating dementia symptoms.
