As an advisor for Sarpsborg Municipality, my primary focus is on integrating game culture and digitization into the municipality's operations and action plans. My role entails:Strategic Advisory: Providing strategic advice to the municipality on how to integrate game culture and digital technologies into their services, operations, and community initiatives.Digital Transformation: Guiding the municipality in its digital transformation journey, identifying areas for digital enhancement, and recommending suitable digital solutions.Cultural Integration: Championing the integration of gaming culture into local programs and initiatives, aiming to engage the younger generation and foster a digitally inclusive community.Planning and Policy Development: Assisting in the formulation and execution of action plans and policies related to digitalization and game culture, ensuring they align with the municipality's overall strategic goals.Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with various stakeholders, including local schools, community organizations, and residents, to promote understanding and acceptance of game culture and digital technologies.Prior to my consulting role, I spent seven years as a Team Leader at the Youth Culture House in Sarpsborg. In my role as Advisor with the Østfold County Council, I had the privilege of organising the AER Summer Academy, a prestigious event that brings together county politicians from across Europe. My responsibilities included:Event Management: Orchestrating every facet of this major event, from initial concept and planning stages through to execution and post-event evaluation.Speaker & Entertainment Coordination: Booking an engaging lineup of external speakers and entertainment, ensuring a balanced and insightful programme that catered to the diverse interests and backgrounds of the attendees.Excursion Planning: Organising a variety of excursions, offering delegates the opportunity to experience the unique culture, history, and natural beauty of Østfold.Travel Support: Providing extensive travel support to attendees, facilitating a smooth and enjoyable experience from arrival to departure.Execution & Evaluation: Overseeing the successful execution of the event, promptly addressing any issues that arose, and conducting thorough post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.The event was a significant undertaking that required extensive planning, attention to detail, and leadership. During my tenure in the Armed Forces, I held a significant role in the pilot recruitment and admissions process:Pilot Recruitment: Orchestrated the recruitment process for prospective pilots, ensuring the highest caliber of candidates were attracted to our program.Admissions Testing: Administered admissions tests for potential pilots, assessing a variety of essential skills and attributes.Test Evaluation: Undertook the task of grading admissions tests, providing crucial input into the final admissions decisions.Internal and External Admissions Exams: Managed the practical execution of both internal and external admissions examinations, ensuring the process was conducted fairly and efficiently.Collaboration with Chief Psychologist: Worked in close collaboration with the Defence's Chief Psychologist, contributing to the psychological assessment and support for both potential and existing pilots.Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into the recruitment and selection process, particularly within a high-stakes, high-pressure environment such as the Armed Forces.
