I am a research assistant at the University of Calgary and a PhD candidate in Physics, with a background in Statistical Mechanics and Computational Physics. I have a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Sharif University of Technology, one of the top universities in Iran. My core competencies include data analysis, data modeling, and causal inference, using various tools and languages such as Python and C++.As a research assistant, I have designed and implemented a fluid-induced earthquakes model to evaluate seismic hazard, conducted data analysis on time series and spatial datasets, and collaborated with scientists from the United States and Germany on interdisciplinary projects. I have showcased my research findings at both domestic and international conferences, and authored 4 peer-reviewed scientific papers published in prestigious journals. As a teaching assistant, I have instructed Statistical Mechanics, one of the four core courses for Physics majors, to a class of ~50 students, developed comprehensive course materials, and facilitated weekly laboratory sessions. I have received multiple teaching excellence awards for my outstanding performance and feedback. I am passionate about applying physics and data science to solve real-world problems, and I am eager to learn from and contribute to a diverse and innovative team.
