1- Working in wards, oncology wards &ICU assessing all the patients’ drugs, identifying medication problems. Attending rounds with the consultants and specialists recommending modification to drug regimen in order to provide the patient with the safest treatment plan according to the latest guidelines.2- Responsible for preparing clinical protocols e.g. management of hypokalaemia, management of hypomagnesaemia and disseminating these protocols to the physicians and ensuring sticking to the protocols to optimize the management and treatment of patients.3- Contributing in the P&T (Pharmacy & Therapeutics) committee preparing the materials that will be presented in the meeting, presenting new guidelines in specific diseases, presenting protocols done by the clinical team to help the health care team work efficiently, recording the meeting minutes sending memos to department managers and specialities coordinators to enhance the medical practice. E.g. memo on updated place in therapy of flouroquinolones, memo on antibiotic durations, memos on drug shortages ,memos on drug additions and others.4- Training new clinical pharmacist on the hospital system and engage them in the team and help them to use the latest guidelines and the clinical sense to be efficient members in the health care team.5- Sharing in the recruitment process of the clinical pharmacists by screening CVs, attending the interviews and help in choosing qualified pharmacists based on our job description.

1- Dispensing the unit dose to the wards and ICUs according to the hospital policy.2- Improving the unit dose dispensing system of the inpatient hospital with the target of decreasing errors, minimizing double work, decreasing work load, increasing quality of work of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians (cancelling the nurse’s step of ordering the medication and make it a pharmacist job).
