I have during my years in Cisco worked with a lot of different technologies (SNA, IPv4/v6, ATM, MPLS, Ethernet, Fiberchannel SAN, Security, Application optimization, WAN, WAN optimization , x86 Server infrastructures (UCS), SDN (EVPN and ACI) etc...) and in different positions (System Engineer, Consulting Engineer, System Engineer Manager and Consulting Systems Engineer).As a Consulting Engineer I was responsible in Cisco for the introduction of MPLS to Service Provider and Enterprise customers in the Norwegian market. Working with all customers, I helped build a plan to introduce the new technology and educate our customers to be able to implement MPLS as part of their architecture.As a System Engineering Manager I had the responsibility to build, support and lead both a national team to cover the Service Provider market in Norway, and a Nordic team of technical specialists within the different SP relevant technologies that Cisco offered to the market.My responsibilities as a Consulting Systems Engineer in Cisco have mainly been to be ´the´ go to person (Principle technologist) within my technology area (DC infrastructure) and a trusted advisor on IT-architectures to Cisco customers and partners. I currently try to combine my experiences in many of these technology areas, and have for the last 10+ years focused on data center infrastructure architectures for Cisco customers in Norway. Working with all the Cisco data-center customers in Norway, I believe I have gained very good knowledge and insight into the IT architectures that is needed for the next generation digitized Enterprise and Service Provider customer.

I was responsible for establishing a new Infrastructure technology department together with the infrastructure sales lead. Main responsibility was to operate as a combined technical product manager and team lead for the network technicians. Product responsibility for Cisco and Synoptics/BayNetworks/Wellfleet.I also got my CCIE Routing/Switching and LAN/ATM during the period, when planning and implementing a development plan for the team.

From 1980 to 1985 I worked in a team of three technicians that where responsible for installing a nationwide Automatic Transmission Measuring Equipment (ATME) system for Televerkets Operation Center (O-Senteret).In 1985/86, I was assigned responsibility for the computer networking equipment in Televerket Oslo region that was based on asynchronous switches from Micom.In 1989 I became responsible for development and operation of a router based network. The network was primarily built with Cisco routers and Bay Networks switches.In 1990 I participated when the technical part of the network (TMN) was built, this network was also based on routers from Cisco Systems. I was later (1993) given the responsibility for both networks in the Oslo region.During my time in Televerket I worked with everything from cabling systems to operating systems.
