As the Athletic Trainer for the Kenya Women's Basketball National Team, I came up with the term "Physical and Game Readiness Integrated Training." Years of player development experience made me realize how much I'd shifted towards functional sports conditioning. It sparked a fire, and in January 2023, I enrolled in a Fitness Science Diploma.This journey is turning me into a true fitness professional. There's so much to learn when you train with passion. Through this, we get to inspire a global understanding of human diversity and cultures, which creates a sense of respect, harmony and tolerance in young people.

Strategy, Planning and Execution of BingwaFest Games property of Betika Na Community Foundation.BingwaFest is a new multi sport championship featuring soccer, athletics, rugby 7s women & 10s men, and basketball 3x3.It aims to showcase and develop new athletic talent in Kenya through regional qualifying tournaments culminating into a National Championship within a 10 month season.With a focus on sports, entertainment and community engagement, BingwaFest hopes to inspire and elevate the country’s sporting landscape.

Concept development; planning; staffing; alignment and integration of vision and strategy framework with operational framework that culminate in overseeing the day-to-day operations of sports projects and competitions, ensuring efficiency and success. Served 3 major projects in this role, namely: Safari 7s 2023 as Technical Operational Support between LOC and Agency; Operations Lead for Opening and Presidential Closing Ceremony for Talanta Hela U19 Inter-County National Championship; and Design, Development and Execution of 2023 Bingwa Fest Rift Regional Qualifiers (Pilot/PoC) as Senior Sports Operations Lead.

As the physical trainer for the Kenya Women's Senior Basketball National Team during the 2021 qualifiers, I led the pre- and post-practice training sessions. My focus was on getting the players physically ready to compete. This meant designing programs that built strength, improved conditioning, and helped prevent injuries.I also worked closely with the head coach to ensure all the training aligned with their game plan. This involved creating drills and activities that would translate to success on the court. But it wasn't just about the team; I also assessed each player's individual skills and created personalized programs to help them improve their overall basketball abilities.Building a strong team culture was another big part of my job. I wanted to create an environment where everyone felt confident and supported. This work paid off in a big way. Remember how Egypt beat us 106-107 after we let a 25-point lead slip away? Well, in the finals, the team showed incredible resilience and beat them 99-83 to qualify for the FIBA Women's Afrobasket! It was an amazing accomplishment, and seeing their hard work pay off was incredibly rewarding. Ultimately, the goal was to prepare the players not only to meet the physical demands of the qualifiers but to compete at the highest level and win. This included developing leadership qualities within the team, ensuring a sustainable training program for future success, and leaving a legacy of strength for the national team.
