■ In function of technical project management, I executed a wide range of feasibility studies, engine and aftertreatment concept definitions for different applications to meet current and future emission legislation, fuel economy standards.■ Base Combustion Development - Air & Fuel Path Control (e.g. Injector, Piston Bowl, Cylinder Head, EGR Cooler, Turbocharger etc.).■ Model-based calibration using Design of Experiments (DoE) with an aim to minimize emissions and optimized efficiency.■ Engine and Aftertreatment concepts definition (layout of DOC, DPF, SCR and combined systems) at early stage of development process using simulative assessments (mainly 0-D / 1-D models)■ Supported the Technical Business Development Activities for EU and Asian markets.

In addtion to my regular job at FEV, this is a volunteer activity out my passion towards the common cause of contributing to the sustainble mobility inititatives. Thanks to the SAE and FISITA for offering the platform for open sharing of ideas and perspective by researchers, technologists and decision makers from different part of world. In the first year of this job, I was responsible for operating a state of the art Chassis dyno emission laboratory to carry out vehicle emission and performance calibration experiments, and perform initial screening and analysis of test data.Due to my extraordinary motivation towards alternate fuels, I was given a key responsibility to initiate and lead the biofuel engine development program for the SUV and UV platforms of Mahindra in the newly established Alternate Vehicle Propulsion Technologies Department. This job includes:■ A cross functional and multi-disciplinary leadership role to coordinate with different internal and external stake-holders such as: - Engine design and calibration teams, - Fuel Injection Equipment Manufacturers, - Biofuel suppliers and fuel qualtity issues (physico-chemical characterization) - Colloborations with Fuel companies, Govt research agencies, Technical Universities for conducting joint engine studies and vehicle field trails. - Coordinating with marketing for the Biofuel awareness and promotion events as well as presenting the scientific findings in congresses.■ I conducted the engine optimization calibration with biodiesel and several 100, 000 Kms of vehicle fleet trails were conducted with different biodielsel blends: B10, B20 and upto B100 for the validation of the emisison and performance and durability aspects.■ I also lead the environmental test trips to optimize and validate the calibration under extreme weather such as cold and high altitude in Himalyas (5600 meters).■ I played a key role in the Flagging-off of first 100% Biodiesel fuelled SUV by ownerable Petroleum Minister of India.
