Participated in a research project to investigate whether computer vision can be used to flag people violating social distancing and mask-wearing rules. I was in a 2 person sub-team that developed the social distancing detector. My main focus was on measuring the distance between people.

Main projectConducting research to find suitable vehicle tyre model for large vehicles. Most models I found applicable for available test data were less physical and required application of optimisation techniques to fit “Magic Formulas”. After learning of a more physics-based model (F-Tire) I reached out to the people who developed it for better understanding, and a relationship was formed between them and my department just before I left.Supporting rolesParticipated in blast experiments as one of the test engineers or as a test manager. The test engineering role required that I carry out instrumentation of vehicle. Test engineer role also included the collection and processing of physical measurements test. Test manager role required planning, drawing up test procedures and writing a test report.
