Onah Jung has spent over a decade working on diverse architectural projects internationally, spanning residential, commercial, and institutional sectors, most notably the World Trade Center, the Museum of Modern Art renovations, the Seattle Mariners Stadium, the University of Maryland Hospital, and the JFK Airport Terminal Stations, amongst others. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Architecture and Columbia University with a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban design.Onah is registered to practice in Ontario and in New York. She also holds LEED AP credentials with the US Green Building Council, and strives to incorporate energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions into the project development process from initial design to construction. On top of this, she is passionate about exploring the relationship between architecture and its surroundings, partially informed by her extensive travels and studies of uniquely Japanese aesthetics in architecture. Following a number of years working in the United States, Onah returned to Toronto and established Studio Jonah. In her spare time, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Korean Canadian Scholarship Foundation, and maintains a blog, www.onahjung.com on all things design related.
