I have more than 14 years’ experience teaching in high schools both in South Africa and Nigeria. I specialize in mathematics and physics, but I’ve also taught technology, English and life orientation. I’m good at simplifying complex curriculums to achieve positive learning outcomes.I have an honours degree in education and also a degree in electrical and electronics engineering. I’ve always had a talent for numbers and initially I thought engineering was my career path. However, I realized that teaching was where my future lay.Now I’m teaching maths and physics at A, A/S and IGCSE level. Over my teaching career I have established a track record success, often achieving 100% pass rates in subjects that many schools struggle to teach effectively. I’ve also been the head of department and I work well with other teachers, setting high standards, interacting effectively with parents and students, and fostering a positive learning environment.I feel that I make a real difference in the lives of students, helping them achieve in subjects that all too often get dropped as they are seen as being ‘too hard’.
