Director Of Audio
CurrentDirector of Audio oversees all foundational aspects of audio for video as well as the management of Location Sound, Sound Design, Foley Art, Editing, Soundtrack, Mix and Master.Pre-production planning and coordination is integral for this role. This includes availability for off-hour meetings, punctuality, and acquisition of production files (i.e., script, shot list, schedules).On-set duties and responsibilities include UHF channel programming for wireless systems, distribution of in-ear monitor systems (IEMs), installation of ambient microphones and speakers, running cables, boom operation, file management, location mixing and monitoring, and frequent communication with other departments.Post-production duties and responsibilities include file acquisition, audio processing, editing, sound design, foley, composition and performance of score/soundtrack, mix, and master.Qualities include the ability to supervise a team to accomplish a goal, meet deadlines, thrive in a studio environment, work with members of production, and posses a deep understanding of audio gear and processing.
