I went on my first mission trip to Venezuela when I was 17 years old. I discovered a new world thrust between the tensions of extreme poverty and hope. I witnessed people with little or no worldly possessions express love and compassion I never knew existed. For the first time, I experienced joy in its purest form.Fast forward nearly 20 years...After a successful sales career, I accepted a leadership position with Third Lens Ministries, a missions organization I helped in its infancy and served as a board member. Third Lens consists of a network of architects, engineers and construction professionals that partner with front-line ministries in developing communities and countries. The ministry provides comprehensive design and construction management services to ministries in need of facility development, master planning, engineering and architectural design. We specialize in developing Medical, Orphan Care and Educational projects."While it is fashionable in our times to analyze world events merely by looking through the lenses of politics and economics, it is also a serious mistake, for it prevents one from being able to see in three dimensions. To truly understand the significance of global events and trends, one must analyze them through a third lens as well: the lens of Scripture.
