My greatest failure was believing that CAN’T and NEVER were perfectly acceptable words applicable to any situation that dwelled outside of my life plan. My greatest success followed years later in a much unexpected way and from something so basic that I took it for granted.A deep-seated desire to care for others led me to a rewarding career in healthcare. Over the years I took countless x-ray images and mentored students along the way. This work taught me precision, perseverance, empathy, diversity, teamwork, resilience, and many other skills that framed the foundation of my personal and professional growth. Fast forward to the day this career came to a halt with what started as a numb & tingling sensation in my lower legs and ended months later with me having to re-learn how to walk again. Albeit temporary, the partial paralysis kept me confined to a hospital bed for 2 very long and agonizing months.Now when I look back to that terrible time, I can honestly say I am grateful for the experience. It moved me to make changes in my life plan that I may not have ever done. But mostly because it deleted the words Can’t & Never from my vocabulary.Ultimately• I resigned from a long career in healthcare.• I helped start, develop and grow a small claims consulting business.• I moved 1400 miles south to the winter warm state of Florida.• I developed new skills: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Google Workspace, office management
