Oversee training, technical assistance and policy advocacy to expand and deepn harm reduction services in California

Launched and managed a County wide naloxone distribution program to ensure people most at risk for overdose had access to naloxone. Developed education training materials, program implementation guides and worked with programs across Alameda County to develop best practices for overdose prevention.

Provided brief behavioral health interventions to adults and children as a part of a integrated health model of care within multiple Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) within Wayne County, Michigan. Worked individual with patients to identify mental health, psychosocial and environemntal stressors and worked within clinic system to enhance integrate of this innovate model of care.

Provided psyosocial assessments, treatment planning and individual counseling services to 35-45 clients in treatment for opioid use disorder. Worked with clinic management to integrate HIV and HCV testing into care within MOUD clinic, and integrate naloxone access for patients.

Managed day to day program operations of syringe access program, including development of training for volunteers, inventory and ordering, overdose prevention, and integration of safer injection education.

Assisted, supported and strategized as a board member for Santa Cruz's mobile syringe exchange

Launched and developed new project, dedicated to building comunities capacity to prevent the spread of HIV and STIs among young MSM of color in Alameda County. Recruited, interviewed and trained new volunteers on theories of harm reduction, client centered care and sexual health education methods and manage 20-30 active volunteer outreach workers. Provided HIV testing and counseling.

Provided one-on-one counseling to clients regarding birth control, breast health, safer sex, and sexually transmitted infections.

As a full-time intern I work on several different projects including the Older Prisoner Project where I assisted with qualitative and quantitative research to contribute to an update of the report Dignity Denied: The Price of Imprisoning Older Women in California. I assist with planning and implementation of a warrant-clearing event sponsored by the office of Barbara Lee and Keith Carson. Conducted phone screening and intake interviews, completed and maintained records and supported staff on the event day. I corresponded with incarcerated people in men and womens prisoners, attended trainings and interviewed incarcerated women at two Central California Women's Prisons.
