We travelled through India to more than 30 yoga places. We published and distributed the book 'Yoga in India - a guide to the top 24 yoga places in India' till it was sold out in December 2013 (print version). E-book version is available.

Earth.org was a collaboratively written travel guide with a non-for-profit approach (similar to Wikipedia). The vision was to provide free and reliable travel information, which we consider as hard to find in between so much advertising. The team was a 100% remotly working from all around the world. In January 2010 we decided not to continue with Earth.org - it was a too big task and too difficult to realize in a fully private funding.Learning: The idea was nice, but maybe we should have started with Berlin only, not with our entire planet. And: it can be a great thing to work in an entire remote team.

Founder of the Indian classifieds website www.click.in (first we did business under the name of oneindia.in). The aim was to create a simple and easy to use classifieds website for India. And it went well, click.in became one of the leading classifieds websites in India. In March 2006 click.in was integrated into Greynium Information Technologies. In 2010 Greynium (and with it www.click.in) was sold to NetCore Solutions Pvt Ltd, one of India’s largest digital communications companies.Learning: Classifieds is a wonderful business.

My most crazy venture: Tried to set up an online auction site like eBay for India, together with Indian partners in Bangalore, South India. At the time of our VC-taks in June 2004 eBay entered into the Indian market and we decided not to continue. Later http://www.oneindia.in became a classifieds website (May 2005 to Dec 2005, today www.click.in) and again later an Indian Portal (Jan 2006 till today).Learning: The market for online auctions leads to a natural monopoly (which makes it attractive) - but there is only space for one player, especially if this one is called eBay.

My first real and well (venture capital) funded business: a free lottery with winning chances up to one million German Mark. Lotty.de was originated out of the simple thought that everything in the Internet is for free and everyone wants to have a lot of money. It was also ment to be an antagonist to the powerful German state Lotto. In the end we sold the operating business www.lotty.de and we had to wound up the corporation "lotty Aktiengesellschaft".Learning: The sweepstake business is a business with the data of users.
