I built a robust MVP for JustFix, an app that connects homeowners to reliable tradespeople. I continue to advise on tech and product and do occasional hands-on development.

I spent a while doing discovery and some design / architecture on an OKR app for the then-new Monday.com App Store.I believe that the project may have had some potential, but after some research into the distribution models of existing OKR platforms, I decided that the idea was not right for me at that time.

I reported directly to VIOOH’s COO and CPO.After the sudden departure of the original project leaders and most of the team, I took on the task of leading the SmartContent (later VIOOH Content) product and guaranteeing its continuity.In order to do this I: - Established and line managed a new cross-functional team of ~10 people including engineers, designer, delivery manager and support staff - Quickly picked up senior client and prospect relationships from my predecessor, as in the early stages VIOOH had no sales or account management function - Picked up internal stakeholder relationships, particularly with the incoming C-level team at VIOOH, and the senior leadership of JCDecaux’s global IT department, which involved regular travel to France - Set roadmap and strategy for the product - Carried out a programme of internal and external evangelism for the product. - Set up agile working practices for the team to deliver on the roadmap - Led on stabilising the technology, including a significant reduction in production incidents and a migration from Elastic Beanstalk to Kubernetes. - Conducted ongoing discovery activitiesLater on, as the VIOOH Content product became more stable and feature-complete, I took on more product work in the Programmatic Out-of-Home side of the business including: - Leading the effort to use VIOOH Content’s content delivery platform for distributing Programmatic Out-of-Home content - Running an extensive research, design and planning process for a product in the content moderation space - Taking part in the technical architecture process for a new, real-time programmatic Out-of-Home ad server and delivery platformIn addition to the above, I made a significant personal effort to learn everything I could about product management and the efficient running of software product development processes.
