Onel Gonzalez is a Vice President and Business Development Manager at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for the Greater Philadelphia, Suburban Philadelphia and the Delaware South Jersey markets. Onel is responsible for experienced advisor hiring and new client acquisition goals across all three markets.Onel launched his career at UBS in 2016 as a member of the Branch Management team in Paramus, New Jersey. During his tenure at UBS, Onel worked in several different areas of the firm, including on the National Sales team covering the Eastern Division. In that role, he worked closely with field leaders in driving sales strategy by leveraging the capabilities of UBS, employing proven best practices, as well as supporting them in driving their net new money efforts. Most recently and prior to joining Merrill, Onel served as the Assistant Market Head for UBS in Dallas, Texas. In that role, his domain spanned 11 offices across the state of Texas, and he served as a cornerstone for Financial Advisors, supporting them in growing their businesses and delivering key resources to the market.Onel grew up in Newark, NJ and graduated Cum Laude from Saint Peter's University with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Onel currently holds his Series 3, 7, 9, 10 and 66 FINRA registrations. When he is not working, Onel enjoys spending time with family.
