After becoming a local leading expert in industrial and environmental hygiene with a long successful track record in the ongoing development of Zimmetry's industrial hygiene services and capabilities, in addition to achieving a doctoral degree in sustainability with emphasis in green building, Mr. Gonzalez responsibilities include executive and business development related duties in addition to performing complex and varied scientific and regulations related research work as required in accordance with each IH project's specific demands. With great capacity for leadership and extensive experience in a variety of numerous IH areas, in addition to in-depth research work and international trainer experience on sustainability and green building subjects, Mr. Gonzalez is Zimmetry's resource person for these topics, including transmission pathways and risk mitigation of airborne pathogens. Mr. Gonzalez is also responsible for training and development of company's industrial hygiene technicians and industrial hygienists.

At Zimmetry, Mr. González works with clients looking for consistent environmental and industrial hygiene services who struggle with the worry that they may receive non-compliant performance resulting in delays to their projects, regulatory or public relations difficulties and would like to have a specialist with proven experience and knowledgeable personnel that perform in a timely matter.Since starting in the company in 2009, Mr. Gonzalez has worked a leading role in the development and growth of Zimmetry's industrial hygiene services and capabilities. As a professional industrial hygienist, Mr. González was in charge of overseeing and conducting all Industrial Hygiene & IAQ projects. His responsibilities comprise all tasks associated with environmental and occupational consulting services including: disinfection projects' planning, documentation and verification; IAQ consulting and sampling for Green Building projects; IAQ & industrial hygiene investigation and monitoring; qualitative and quantitative occupational exposure assessments; mold & sick building assessment; lead-based paint inspection; and asbestos-containing building materials inspection including recurrent AHERA Regulatory Re-inspection & Audit for Asbestos O&M Plans. Mr. González has also offered awareness-level asbestos training as part of the AHERA regulations compliance requirements, and has been responsible for designing and offering online SARS-CoV-2 training on behalf of Zimmetry in collaboration with the Ana G. Mendez University (UAGM). Other tasks include: provide industrial hygiene training and professional development to company personnel, assist in purchasing of air monitoring equipment, and schedule and perform regular maintenance and in-house calibration of indoor air quality monitoring and sampling equipment.As a LEED Professional, Mr. González was responsible of designing the USGBC LEED Green Associate in-house training for company employees.

The NSF Engineering Research Center (ERC) program supports convergent research (CR) that will lead to strong societal impact. Each ERC has interacting foundational components that go beyond the research project, including engineering workforce development (EWD) at all participant stages, diversity and a culture of inclusion (DCI) where all participants gain mutual benefit, and value creation within an innovation ecosystem (IE) that will outlast the lifetime of the ERC. ERCs are generally funded for ten years with assigned budgets of up to $21,000,000 for the first year.A panelist reviews a relatively large number of proposals, rating each one, and then participates in a multi-day discussion of each proposal’s merits. A panel usually meets at or near NSF, although virtual options are also used. For each proposal, several other panelists are assigned to provide reviews as well. The role of the panelist is to synthesize their own evaluation with that of the ad hoc and other panelist reviewers to arrive at a consensus evaluation of the value of the work to advancing the broader discipline. Reviewers typically have an advanced degree or equivalent work experience, and some quantifiable expertise in the field for which they are examining proposals.When evaluating NSF proposals, reviewers should consider what the proposers want to do, why they want to do it, how they plan to do it, how they will know if they succeed, and what benefits would accrue if the project is successful. These issues apply both to the technical aspects of the proposal and the way in which the project may make broader contributions. As an expert in Green Building and Sustainable Development and former USGBC's LEED educational speaker, Mr. González has created and offered numerous green building professional trainings, and has been the first local speaker to offer LEED 2009 & LEED v4 Green Associate's Credential Study Courses at professional associations and higher education institutions in PR and the Middle East. He has also facilitated instructor-led workshops of the USGBC’s Education Curriculum and was admitted as a USGBC Faculty member in 2013. USGBC Faculty™ are expert practitioners in the green building industry who are the only individuals authorized to teach USGBC education programs. USGBC Faculty are selected based on their green building subject matter expertise and teaching/training experience to educate on the use and value of green building practices and the LEED rating systems. Mr. González provided consulting services for LEED Certification process during the design phase of a LEED for Commercial Interiors project by assisting in completion of multiple LEED credits calculations such as: SS Credit 1, option G: Water Efficient Irrigation; WE Credit 1: Water Use Reduction; EA Credit 1.1: Optimize Energy Performance, Lighting Power; EA Credit 1.3: Optimize Energy Performance, HVAC, option B; EA Credit 4: Green Power; MR Credit 4: Recycled Content; and EQ Credit 8: Daylight. In addition, performed tasks included participating in a series of weekly project meetings in which several green building strategies were discussed, relevant concepts were introduced and project work was assigned to be completed during the week.

As an Indoor Air and Surface Quality Certified Inspector Professional (IASQ CIP) of the Healthier Environment Living Program™, Mr. González was responsible of performing microbial control surface treatments and microbial control inspections; conduct indoor air quality (IAQ) and mold assessments; and provide educational presentations on Green Building and Indoor Air Quality among others.
