• OneResume is a cross-platform hybrid app I started in January 2018. The idea is to create an app that would automatically generate beautiful resumes for anyone.• The UI was originally written in Angular 5 / Ionic 3. Over the years, it went through several major upgrades - Angular 7 / Ionic 4 in 2019, Angular 8 / Ionic 5 in 2020, Angular 13 / Ionic 6 / Capacitor 3 in 2022. In addition to the core Angular/Ionic libraries, the UI also uses WebSocket, Google Maps, Facebook Graph API, and Firebase authentication.• The server side is Java based. Key technologies include Spring Boot, Hibernate and Lucene. The server side is consisted of 4 web applications: authentication service, resume rendering service, REST API service and reference data service.• The services are deployed to AWS. There are two AWS environments - QA and production. In addition to AWS EC2, I am also using Beanstalk, RDS and EFS.• This is my own independent project. What that means is that essentially I do everything on my own: resume template design, UI/UX design, coding, testing and DevOps.

• Leading the redesign of IEEE flagship app in Ionic 3 and Angular 5.• Implemented some of the major pieces of the app, including events, rostersand meetups.• Restored proper code review practice, and provided guidance on Angularand TypeScript.• Collaborating closely with project management and creative team; sharingfeasibility assessment and alternative solutions.

• Developed Morgan Stanley Access Investing robo advisor hybrid app for desktop browser, iOS and Android platforms, using Angular 5 and Cordova.• Developed Angular components and services, styled components using SCSS and BEM, created unit tests.• Reviewed visual designs from internal and external designers, guided designers from HUGE on creating developer-friendly markups.

• Spearheaded the migration of Stock Loan Slate UI from a Windows desktop application to an AngularJS web application with Java/Spring backend.• Collaborated with Asia teams in Hong Kong and Shanghai on the migration of Stock Loan platform projects, 44 in total, from Ant to Gradle; contributed to bug fixes and improvement of Morgan Stanley internal Gradle library.

Environment: GWT, JavaScript, CSS, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Oracle Coherence, Apache Camel, Spring JMS, Solace JMS, Maven, Jasypt, Jenkins• Led the development of Clearing Limit Hub(CLH). Before a trade is executed, CLH must be consulted to make sure its execution will not breach the limits applicable to the trade.• Developed project structure with Maven, designed Oracle database schema, mapped database schema to Java in JPA annotation, implemented encryption and decryption of database password using Jasypt and EncryptablePropertyPlaceholderConfigurer.• Managed database transaction using HibernateTransactionManager, AspectJ compile time weaving and @Transactional annotation.• Achieved high scalability with Oracle Coherence. CLH needs to process and respond to a request within 100 millisecond window. Processing involves primarily data reading and computation. The extreme performance offered by Coherence’s Replicated Cache Service for reading makes it possible for CLH to meet the requirement on response time.• Integrated CLH with other systems using JMS and Apache Camel; Camel is an open source integration framework which provides a clear structure to implement layers of processing for an endpoint; developed a message router using Spring JMS and Java ExecutorService.• Built CLH website front-end using GWT, HTML and CSS.

• Led migration of Prime Brokerage Portal from Gwt-Ext to GXT; rewrote more than 50% of core client module in GXT and all Gwt-Ext-related CSS rules.• Developed full stack of Cash Flow Manager on PB Portal platform which allows business users to easily search for cash flow settlements using different criteria, and to change the status of cash flows. Technology stack primarily consists of GXT, Spring MVC, Spring Transaction, Hibernate, Oracle and Tibco Rendezvous.• Other components developed for PB portal include Message Center which allows users to keep track of notifications, an OSX Spotlight-like Application Finder, and Pre-login Agreement and Notification.

Environment: ExtJS, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, JSON, Java, J2EE, Struts, Tomcat, XML, XPATH, ANT• Led redesign of GS360 Portfolio Center using ExtJS and GS proprietary Struts-like framework.• Built Portfolio Center JavaScript library based on ExtJS and coached other team members on how to use the JavaScript library and ExtJS.• Developed Java classes to parse BondEdge import, exception and error files.

• Led redesign of pantene.com and covergirl.com, as well as maintenance of previous version of the two sites.• Single-handedly designed and implemented the server side of the two new websites; provided guidance to front-end development on code maintainability.• Draft technical development plans; contributed to resource planning.• Collaborated closely with creative team on data modeling and UI.• Interacted directly with clients and provided technical consultations.
