Oni Bibin BintoroOni Bibin Bintoro is a seasoned technology analyst and social science researcher specializing in area studies at Badan Riset Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) since 2021. His career is grounded in extensive experience as a researcher in Technology for Natural Resources at BPP Teknologi, under the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, from 1994 to 2021.Professional Experience Oni’s international exposure includes his role as a visiting scholar at the Dispute Resolution Research Center (DRRC) at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University (2014-2015). During this time, he also contributed as a visiting faculty member in the Department of Management and Organization (MORS) at Kellogg, focusing on negotiation and strategic decision-making. Oni earned certifications in teaching and research in negotiation and mediation from DRRC, and a Certificate of Mediation from the Chicago Council of Conflict Resolution.Oni’s leadership is further exemplified by his ongoing role as Research Chairman of the Indonesian Civil Service Union (KORPRI), a position he has held since 2004, spanning multiple terms through 2027. He earned a World Bank scholarship to pursue a Propedeuse diploma in computer engineering at Delft University, followed by an Ingenieur (Ing.) degree from The Hague University in 1994.Furthering his expertise, Oni earned a double MBA & MBI from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, on a Dutch Government Scholarship. His academic achievements also include postgraduate degrees in Information Systems from Massey University (NZ), Law from Universitas Bung Karno, and American Studies from the University of Indonesia. He attended a Ph.D. program in Economics at the University of Indonesia from 2003 to 2007.Teaching and Mentorship From 2008 to 2016, Oni was a lecturer at the School of Business and Management (SBM) at the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB), where he taught Business Economics, Advanced Statistics, and Strategic Decision Making & Negotiation.
