The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) is the international trade association for windpower industry, whose mission is to ensure that wind power establishes itself as the answer totoday's energy challenges, providing substantial environmental and economic benefits.The transition to renewable energy sources is crucial for sustainable development acrossAfrica and Wind energy has the potential to play a significant role in this transition, but themanufacturing of wind turbines in Africa is still in its infancy.The project aims to explore the opportunities and possibilities for establishing and scaling upwind turbine manufacturing in Africa.
