Part of the original team of 3 senior developers and analysts responsible for creating from scratch numerous ETL processes and reports within CIB Credit to automate reporting, identify and improve data quality and enhance portfolio insights for CIB Credit and Commercial Property Finance (CPF).Engagement in regular reporting with various Credit Risk committees i.e. Credit Risk Management Committee (CRMC), Portfolio Quality Report (PQR) and CPF (Peer Review Committee) PRCSource data from the data lake, prepare and consolidate to provide analytics and insights in managing CIB portfolios (SA and ARO).Run ETL processes essential for producing committee packs and executing monthly tasks (exchange rates, clients limits (TFL), client rating and overrides, Coal, Oil and Gas ESG reporting.)Worked closed with data rails team to convert numerous ungoverned manual ETL processes and manual input data files into a central automated reporting that align with regulation BCBS239 and thus creating efficiency and digitisation.Implemented a proactive reconciliation between the CPF extract and the general ledger. This process helped the regulatory team to identify missing CPF accounts.Implemented a proactive weekly tracker for identifying significant default PD/DG grade movements, with large exposure, prior to month-end on the credit portfolio. This process helped to manage high RWA because of DG increase or clients becoming unrated.Implemented and automated a daily arrear report for Commercial Property Finance during COVID. Additionally, the report contributes to watchlist committee proceedings.

Contribute to the development, management and maintenance of the database and technical infrastructure at ABSA business bank (finance) management information department. The backend database provides one view of the customer balance sheet, income and profit across all business clusters and products. The database used for the measuring of the relationship executives, provincial managers, provincial heads, sector heads and head of coverage financial performance.• Design and implement source code and database changes as required by business to source new product or changes to existing methodologies and perform reruns a least bi-annually.• Collate and analyze all exception reports for possible problems encountered with daily, weekly and monthly batch unload jobs sets.• Communicate anomalies such as changes, incorrect data, data delays or data availability to the retail MI/BI teams responsible for report compilation and dissemination.• Train and share knowledge with the team on the daily/weekly/monthly backend database update processes.• Compile monthly test report for GL balancing and trend testing of backend database transposed balance sheet and income statement information.
