Where to go next? The IT- business danceIt's my mission to help our business achieve its goals; providing excellent care. I do this by having a structured conversation with my business partners about their concerns and goals. By bringing good quality maps of the organization and its surroundings, I speed up the process of determining where we are and where we want to go.

Caring for the disabled has long ago stopped being just about caring. In this day and age, a succesfull self organising healthcare professional not only delivers good care, she or he does so in a world that demands ever more planning, communication, transparenty and accountability. It is simply impossible to combine all these demands when not supported by cost effective IT services. Working in close coordination with my co-IT manager Joost van der Rest to enable our team of application managers (9,5) and IT services directors (6) to deliver excelent IT services to the Dichterbij organisation. Through achieving a high standard of application management and, in a partnership with our service integration vendor, selecting and managing our outsourced IT service providers and SAAS services, we deliver a portfolio of about 30 ever improving IT services. That way we make sure that our 4500 users can achieve their goal: providing optimal Care to our clients!

I managed service delivery of www.politie.nl en helped turn the technics behind Cedric into a reliable service.

We built a new infrastructure of 6 VMS servers and migrated and hosted 30 applications and 20K+ users across 1500 locations to the new site.

During this period I managed the main information systems for the police in Den Bosch.

During this period I mainly worked for Compaq on the broker for remote banking software for ABN AMRO

I worked on final assembly , testing, packaging and shipping of the product.

During these years, my wife and me lived and worked in this camp hill community with up to 12 people with a learning disability. We also managed two to three volunteers and two workshops; the kitchen that served food to 20 people daily and the vegetable garden.
