It is a collection of her original inspirational pop rock songs. The band stomped the basic tracks out with no more that 3 takes per tune and several first takes. Thanks to the great players: Ben Wiles, Lucky Lopez, Patrick Olvera and Ryan Calvert. Most of these players are reading musicians and they all had charts and were making notes. There were four rehearsals and each was recorded and shared."We completed 10 songs in 10 hours all the music is done now for the vocals woo hoo!" In 2005 Steve produced “Tus Tsim” the debut album of Hmong Flamenco guitarist Alain Lee. In 2006 Steve produced the “Smokin’” album for himself and Eddie Gordon. In 2008 he produced the EP “Songs for Darfur” for Greg Lawson. In 2009 he produced the LP “For the Camps” for Greg Lawson.In 2010 he produced Patrick Contreras and Steve Ono's “Appassionata live at the Auberry Library” for Friends of the Auberry Library In 2011 he produced his own “Fingerpaint and Folksongs”.

Steve Ono's first solo public performance was at the 1971 McLane High School Talent Show. The first paid performance was in 1973 in a coffeehouse in Steenwijk, the Netherlands. Steve played in the Fresno progressive rock band Folly’s Pool and co-wrote several songs on their debut album. Steve met Frank Hicks, a swing era guitarist which sparked a flurry of study on Steve's part resulting in his 1980 graduation from the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood. With a day job in banking he was playing all over Southern California and doing some recording session work. Steve moved back to Fresno in 1985 began gigging, guitar teaching and studying computer music. At this time he began a musical partnership with harmonica master Eddie Gordon, veteran of late vaudeville and early TV.Songwriting took on new importance in November 1993, with the release of "The Maximus Sessions," a compilation CD of Fresno area songwriters and artists. Steve's song: "Serious Man," received airplay and was mentioned as a standout by the Fresno Bee. In 1995-96, Steve appeared on the CSUF Production, "Works in Progress", with Thomas Witt-Ellis for broadcast on KVPT channel 18.In 2004 Steve appeared with Eddie Gordon on the CSU Summer Arts /KVPT/Comcast live broadcast of the “Blues in the Tower” show at the Tower Theater.His first all original CD, "Voice of a Friend," was released in December 1996.
