Princess Juliana International Airport Reconstruction Project, Sint Maarten (Dec 2021 – Present) -Project value of 89 million USD. Regional aviation hub in the Caribbean.-Primary Stakeholders: SXM Airports, Royal HaskoningDHV, NACO, CorganPlan, execute, and oversee all mechanical activities of Construction, Test and Commissioning, Closeout, and Handing over to the client’s operation team. Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, finalize the agreements, and manage procurement. Review and approve subcontractor drawings and coordinate with consultant and designer. Monitor and control project schedule and budget. Supervise teams of 3 engineers, 5 technicians, and 42 installers. Coordinate the interfaces with the airport’s operation team to allow the continuation of the airport’s operation during construction activities. Facilitate test and commissioning meetings with the client and the consultant. Manage the operational readiness tests and maintenance works. Implement the quality control measures and manage the quality control process. The first contact of the contractor’s emergency response team.Key Contributions:-Increased the original budget by 18% through variation order proposals.-Completed the mechanical works which is 2% ahead of the schedule and the best performance among all the disciplines in the project.
