Following activities performed as the discipline head;- Preparing department monthly workload and manhour estimation studies. - Performing department proposal study for the company bids. - Assign adequate staff both in number and qualification for each contract- Assist the P.S. Leader to solve specific Vessels/Mechanical, heat transfer and technical as well as metallurgical problems requiring investigation beyond that needed in routine engineering execution.- Ensure that any Subcontracted Service of the discipline is subjected to the appropriate QA clauses and procedures.- Assuring the implementation, within his own activities, of the applicable laws and standards requirements regarding Health, Safety and Environment during the engineering phase- Supervising that his personnel respect the applicable HSE requirements, with particular regard to their health and safety care during the activities developed in home office; instructing properly (according to the relevant procedure) the personnel that will work out of the home office.

Review with the Project Engineering Co-ordinator all the needs and technical aspects of the job and acting as interface with the other Speciality Groups. Assist the Speciality Engineers in the discussion with the Client Representatives of specific technical problems, which might arise during the (job) Contract development.Thermal design of Heat Exchangers (S&T, Plate, Spiral, ACHE) with HTRI software.Mechanical design of Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers with Codeware_Compress.Preparation of Material Requisition & technical bid evaluation activities. Review of vendor drawings and design calculations of equipments listed above according to codes ASME, AD Merkblätter, EN 13445, TEMA and API. Correspondence with vendors to solve technical matters.
