I'm Onur Kırdök, an Architect and a Biodesign researcher. Different than other sustainability researches; my ideology focus on collaboration with living organisms in integration to building systems within the framework of biology and technology based design to achieve a regenerative architecture for our future needs. I mainly work in the field of Bio-architecture to develop various building technologies to alter the perspective of today's unsustainable, "disconnected from its Biosphere" state of architecture. Currently my research and studies are focused on Mycelium based bio-composite production. I've completed both academic and experimental research on creating fabric reinforced mycocomposites and still developing on the issue in Bioengineering Labs at Ege University. In addition to those I'm developing new techonogies and designs over integration of photobioreactors, algal and aquatic systems, different construction technologies inspired by biology, integration of aquaponic systems, etc. in building systems within regenerative architecture framework include some of my research and projects. In addition to those, developing technologies like robotic manifacture, digital printing and bio-printing, gen editing of organisms, etc. are other issues which advancing together with my ongoing research.
